About Us
Late deafness and the combination of other NF2 health issues can be overwhelming managing on our own, connecting with others helps.
The NF2 NYC Support group has met every few months since 2008, at what was initially called the League of Hard of Hearing, now known as Center for Hearing and Communications (CHC).
CHC has been generous enough to continue to provide CART services every few months so our group can gather in their main office in NYC. CART offers live transcripts of discussions as people talk, shown on a large digital display.
More recently members within the group have started to help organize additional events outside of CHC to learn and teach ASL together. You can learn about these events by becoming a member of our Facebook Group - NYC NF2 ASL Group.
