Neurofibromatosis Type 2 (NF2) - About Us

Based out of New York, the NF2 NYC Support Group is organized by people with NF2. The goal of this site is to help connect people dealing with NF2 to much needed medical information, resources and help finding others also dealing with NF2. In short, to be a complete support base, regardless of where you live.

Having NF2 can be very isolating. Many of us are Spontaneous NF2, having no family with NF2 like us and without NF2 Support Groups, we would otherwise be unlikely to know others like ourselves. The good news is we are most definitely not alone there are many of different NF2 groups of different types and numbers of people, we can help connect you with.

The results of the sudden transition to being deaf and the rest of our health issues are hard to deal with alone, not just for ourselves but for our families as well and it is completely unnecessary to feel alone since there are many others local and worldwide to connect with.

Group Meetings

Our support group meets approximately every three months in NYC at the Center for Hearing and Communication in Manhattan (CHC). We share experiences, offer advice, support, and socialize.
